An English Villa?

Yeah, and this is a website about real estate!
What we are talking about here is what could well be one of the biggest, and certainly one of the most exciting transfers to take place this season. We will now focus our attention onto the top scorer at Euro 2008. David Villa!
It has been known that Valencia have been suffering from a credit crisis for a while, and it has also been known that they probably looked to sell their star studded Spaniard striker David Villa in the hope of reducing their debt. What we have here is a piece of tasteful news that he might just be headed the Premier League way!
The Spanish press have said that Valencia has to cough up over 50 million Euros by the end of this month, to avoid bankruptcy. The club has turned to the banks to get a load, but their icy relationship with the moneylenders is almost certain to lead to the disposal of some of their stars.
Tottenham, Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, as well as Manchester City (with City and Chelsea leading in the race) are rumoured to have shown an interest in the forward who turns 27 today. Personally, I would like to see the Torres-Villa combination at Anfield light up the Premier League. That apart, imagine the consequences if Villa is on a move to either Stamford Bridge, or to Eastlands. Chelsea might consider offloading Drogba for Villa, and if not, might just lap up Robinho if they don’t get the winning bid on the Spaniard. This piece of news just about turns my transfer market expectations upside down. Whether this will actually materialise or not is something that neither you, nor I can foresee. But this is a juicy piece of news indeed!
