Liverpool 3-0 Newcastle highlights: Defeat leaves Shearer’s side in the bottom three

Liverpool kept within striking distance of Manchester United with an easy win over a spineless Newcastle United.

A goal off Yossi Benayoun’s knee and a diving header from Dirk Kuyt put Liverpool in control in the first half and substitute Lucas headed in the third three minutes from time.
