Transfer targets – Gameweek 6

The cornerstones of your team are obvious ? but how about the players that?ll put you over the top! Here are 5 options that should get you at least 5 pts this week:

Goalkeeper

Fresh off a clean sheet at city rivals Birmingham, Villa?s Brad Friedel (5.5 mil) will be looking to continue his consistency in front of goal. Luckily the schedule should help him do just that as Villa faces bottom-of-the-table Portsmouth at home this week. And he could well build on this week?s momentum when Villa travel to Rovers in Gameweek 7.

Defender

Michael Turner?s (4.5 mil) defensive skills and prowess in front of goal were a highlight of Hull?s campaign last season, so it?s no surprise that the Black Cats were thrilled to secure him just before the end of the transfer window. With Sunderland at Burnley this week followed by Wolves at home next week, look for Turner to put up impressive points in defence ? and perhaps attack too!

Midfielders

Yossi Benayoun (7.4 mil) is surely on everyone?s radar with his impressive hat-trick at the weekend. Assuming Benitez employs similar tactics in the coming weeks, Benayoun should find success when Liverpool travel to West Ham this week ? and he may just have another brace when the Reds host Hull City in Gamweek 7.

Despite Arsenal?s loss at the weekend, Tomas Rosicky (6.9 mil) was the catalyst for the team as soon as he came on for Denilson in the second half. More importantly, he was quick to get back on the score sheet after his long injury layoff. A bargain at his current price, Rosicky will cause havoc at home against Wigan this week and at Fulham next week.

Forward

After his late winner against Birmingham, look for Gabriel Agbonlahor (8.2 mil) to see repeated success in front of goal as Villa host Portsmouth this weekend. Portsmouth is letting in 2 goals a game at the moment and Agbonlahor will surely aim for that average to increase because of their visit to Villa Park.
