Substitute Defenders for your Fantasy Premiership Team

Your team would benefit, from the acquisition of cheap substitute defenders, who actually have a good scoring record. Here are some players, that are cheap and have the added benefit of being more likely to score points, if used for your first eleven:

Kamil Zayatte is a Hull City defender who only costs 4 million pounds and originates from Guinea. He currently has scored 28 points in the Fantasy Premiership, which is the same as William Gallas and Ricardo Carvalho, who are a lot more expensive. He scored the most points (12 points), for a defender in game week 8 having provided an assist and winning 3 bonus points. With a good run of games coming up for Hull which starts with Fulham, Portsmouth, Burnley and Stoke; they have a good chance of securing some clean sheets. They then have a double game week in week 13 where they play West Ham and Everton. It is definitely worth while purchasing Zayatte now as he could prove to be value for money in the upcoming weeks.

Andre Bikey is a Burnley defender from Cameroon, who has played all of their games in the league this season. He has so far scored only one goal this year, but has 4 bonus points to boast of. His purchase price is only 4 million pounds, which is very good value – especially if Burnley are playing at home. Burnley has not lost a game at home, so far this season, which includes notable scalps such as Manchester United and Everton. With 2 out of the next 3 games at home, and their opponents being Blackburn (away), Wigan (home) and Hull (home); it may be worthwhile using him just for the upcoming 2 home games.

Michael Turner is now a Sunderland defender, who has scored and provided an assist – so far this season. The ex-Hull City defender costs only 4.5 million pounds, but has the potential of scoring off set plays. At Hull City he scored 12 goals out of 129 appearances, which is a very good rate of return for a defender. Out of the next 5 games Sunderland play Tottenham, Liverpool, Birmingham, West Ham and Arsenal. It is best to wait until game week 14 before buying Michael, as they then have an easy run of games for three matches then.
