It has been confirmed that game week 11 will be a double game week for Aston Villa and West Ham now.
Aston Villa will play at Goodison Park against Everton on the 31st October and then in the same game week play West Ham at Upton Park, on the 4th November. West Ham will play Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on the 31st October and then the above mentioned fixture against Aston Villa on the 4th November.
To capitalize on this you should try and have in your first eleven as many players who could possibly play 2 matches. The following are players from Aston Villa and West Ham who have accumulated the most amount of points, so far this season ?
Brad Friedel is a USA international goalkeeper, who has played in the Premier League since he joined Liverpool in 1997. He only managed 25 appearances for Liverpool during his 3 year stint on Merseyside. His subsequent move to Blackburn Rovers paid off, as he then spent 8 years with them before signing for Villa. Although he is 38 years old, his reflexes and goal saving abilities remains razor sharp this season as his point?s total of 36 shows. That is an average of 4.5 points a game, which in a double game week, could prove handy!
David Dunne is the Irish International defender who just completed a move to Aston Villa in the last transfer window. He is the fourth ranked defender in the league with 40 points, so far. In fact he scored his first goal in the league for Aston Villa against his old club – Manchester City, in the last game week. I have recommended him for the last few weeks, and will stick to my previous advice, as this double game week makes him an even more attractive option.
James Milner is only 23 years old, but has played in the premier league for 7 years, since his debut for Leeds in 2002. He has had a fantastic start to the season with 36 points so far. The nippy right winger has played all Aston Villa games this season, with a return of 1 goal, 3 assists and a total of 5 bonus points. At 7.1 million he is a lot cheaper than Ashley Young, and with him taking the majority of set-pieces, he could be up for a point?s bonanza over this double game week.
Gabriel Agbonlahor is high on confidence after playing for England last night. He set up Peter Crouch?s first goal and had a decent game. With the World Cup coming up – this is season for strikers to show their full potential, to try and force their way into the England squad. This is obviously on ?Gaby?s?, mind as he has accumulated 33 points, this season. He has scored 4 goals and accumulated 5 bonus points so far. I feel during this double game week, Agbonlahor, will score at least 1 goal!
As you can see all the players selected are from Aston Villa. This is because their highest points ranking players from each position have more points than all of their equivalent at West Ham!
