This season like many seasons has been about injuries and how players have recovered from them or how someone else has stepped up and grabbed their chance with both hands.
Lets look at some of these replacements that you may want to consider for your team to bring you possible success.
Arguably one of the Premier League’s finest defenders is Gael Clichy however Arsenal have been rocked with the news that he is injured and will subsequently be out for a month. However this has handed Keiran Gibbs his opportunity to stake his claim while Clichy is out. At 4.5 he is cheap and is a young and highly rated left back who like his counterpart loves to get forward.
David Dunn has been a player who has promised so much but has flattered to deceive, there is no doubting his ability but years of injury have ravaged his career. However this season has been a positive season for Dunn that has coincided with his position changing to the hole behind the striker. This season he has already contributed 4 goals and I would expect him to add to that tally, at a price of 5.7 he is a bargain if this form continues.
West Ham have not had the best start to the campaign and their hopes of survival rest firmly on Carlton Cole?s shoulders, however with him being sidelined with a hamstring injury Zavon Hines has been given a rare opportunity. Against Aston Villa he won his side a penalty and scored the winning goal not to mention 3 bonus points that gave any lucky fantasy managers 11 points. Hines is a quick small forward with obvious potential and at 4.5 he is a cheap addition who should get some chances to impress with Cole?s absence.
Manchester United have been decimated by injuries to their first choice centre back pairing of Rio Ferdinand and Nemanja Vidic, to any team that would be a major problem. But in United?s case they have able deputies in the form of Jonny Evans and Wes Brown. For any managers who are on the look out for a top four defender who is not very expensive Jonny Evans would be a good signing and at a price of 5.2 he could prove a useful addition.
