Fantasy Football Tips
Here are some general tips to remember when picking your fantasy football team:
1. Do not pick your team to early. Leave it as close to the deadline as you can. If you pick your team to early your players could get injured in training or the manager may decide to rest that player for the match.
2. Keep up-to-date with the latest team news to make sure that your players are playing.
3. Keep a close eye on our injury table to make sure that your players are not injured.
4. Dont buy a player because he gets a good score every couple of weeks. Buy players that perform well consistantly.
5. Dont forget to keep up-to-date with suspended players. You can find a list of all unavailable players on our left navigation.
6. If two teams are evenly matched, you should favour the home team.
7. Look at teams home and away records when making your selections.
8. There are certain players that have been put into the wrong category, for example, Matthew Taylor of Portsmouth is registered as a Defender on most fantasy football games, but actually players in midfield, so look out for small glitches like that.
9. Remember to read the rules. Make sure you know how many transfers you can make, and how the scoring system works.
10. Think about your transfers, look several games in advance, find players that have got a few easy games in row.
11. Players that are in good form, tend to score higher points, so look for players that have been performing well in recent games.
12. Choose defenders and goalkeepers that player week in week out for team that should finish in the top half of the league. Look for free-kick and penalty taking defenders.
13. When picking your team, predict what you think the score are going to be for the upcoming games, then add player who you think will get clean sheets, or high scoring games.
14. Most fantasy football games give points for assists, so free-kick and corner takers tend to score well.
